Kevin Bennison
Cobleskill Golf & Country Club 2000 Club Champion
Kevin will be 20 in May. He has been a member of the Cobleskill Golf and Country Club, with his family, for 15 years. During his early years, golf was clearly balanced with
swimming and playing kick ball in the play area behind the women's first tee. Kevin has always loved the game. As most members can attest to he will play alone or with anyone that would let him in their group.
Many members have contributed to Kevin's golf education through the years: rules, etiquette, and course management. Our club pros were also integral in Kevin's appreciation for the game through the emphasis placed on youth programs.
Kevin played for Cobleskill Richmondville's High School golf team his junior and senior years. He was the MVP and a league all star both years. He is currently a sophomore at Western New England College in Springfield Massachusetts. As a freshman he held the lowest stroke average for his
team, and was named co-rookie of the year. This past season, Kevin played the number one position. He finished 8th out of a field of 105 at the Williams College Invitational, finished 3rd in the Springfield City Tournament, won the WNEC Invitational, and was named to the
All New England Division III team.
Kevin is the youngest club champion in the history of Cobleskill Golf and Country Club. Kevin is the son of Chuck and Jo Ann Bennison. |
